If you havent heard, Target is coming to Canada and the first wave of Zellers locations they will take over has been revealed! Of the 105 retail sites opening in Canada, 15 will reside in BC while Ontario will possess 45. Second wave to be revealed in September.

Target is known for its collaborations with high-end brands like Zac Posen, Mulberry, and of course McQueen, producing trendy yet affordable products. Now who doesn't get excited about that? On top of that, you gotta love their vast selection of cute shoes, home decor, and snacks.

If you reside in Canada, Target stores will be popping up in a neighbourhood near you early 2013. Oakridge Mall will be that much cooler in 2 years.

Full list of locations here.

Obsessive Love

Marc Jacobs and Lady Gaga posing as the Statue of Liberty on the newest cover of V magazine. (image from LA Times)

I love this cover so much that not only I have posted it on my Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr, I have also used it as the wallpaper on my laptop. Talk about being obsessive.

Who's going back to school tomorrow? Have a great one kids. :)

Virgin Radio has set up a photo booth to take pictures of the hardcore Lady Gaga fans, cool set up.

She was really funny, she has never smoked or bought cigarettes before. Her first pack of smokes was for the sunglasses, and she had to specifically ask for the ones with a yellow/brownish filter.

She’s super cute.

Amzing stage design which resembles New York. love love love

One of the biggest production I have seen for concerts. 11 dancers + band and back up singers. Not to mention the extravagant stage designs and costumes.

My $40 Lady Gaga T-shirt :)

Lady Gaga performed this amazing new song at her concert and it just took my breath away. I can’t wait till the official release of it.

Funny how I was never a huge fan of her before, until I walked into her concert without any expectations and became totally infatuated with her after! She’s extremely talented. I think I have officially become one of her ‘little monsters’.

Creme de la Crumb Bakeshop

Surely the cream of the crop.

Creme de la crumb has become the hot spot for breakfast and lunch for those who work in downtown, as it is conveniently located on West Pender and Granville in the heart of downtown. Even though they've only been opened for about 2 months, and their grand opening just 2 weeks ago, Creme de la Crumb has already made it to the #9 spot on Urbanspoon’s “Talk of the Town”, this is because their baked goods and sandwiches are to die for.

What makes Creme de la Crumb so special is that everything is freshly baked in the store and creative chef Lydia Lai combines extraordinary flavours to ordinary baked goods. Take for example, their vanilla pear scones, apple cheddar scones, and flavour of the week specials like pineapple dark chocolate scones. What also drew our attention was their cranberry and dark chocolate rice crispies. Talk about being unique!

I would highly recommend this amazing bakeshop to everyone.. but please be aware: their scrumptious scones and cinnamon buns are highly addictive! I'm drooling as I am typing right now. Part of me wishes that I worked and lived in downtown, so I could have their fluffy scones for breakfast everyday.

Here are the pictures of my favourite bakeshop:

Aritzia fall/winter 2010 collection

TNA, TALULA BABATON, WILFRED, and LE FOU.
blurry photos by me

Was at the Aritzia fashion show on Thursday and I must say, me and my fellow bloggers went home with quite a few inspirations in mind, along with a very generous goodie bag :) Saw a lot of carrot pants/trousers, feminine silk blouses, open back body-hugging dresses, shoulder-padded boxy blazers, and over-sized clutches on the runway [all that I love!]. J'adore the second last outfit the most with the combination of high-waist, bustier, and long grandpa cardigan! What do you guys think?!?

The Raw Diamond is going to LA in 3 days!!! We're all unimaginably excited for this long-anticipated trip and we can't wait to tell you all about it when we get back. Have a lovely week everyone :)

Boboli + MaxMara Spring Warehouse Sale

SportMax s/s 2010 Catalog

Unlike the past few years, Boboli and MaxMara are having their warehouse sale this year at Oakridge Centre (where HMV used to be) instead of their usual spot on South Granville. You can find designer brands, such as Boboli, MaxMara, 'S MaxMara, SportMax, Etro, Blumarine, Missioni, Blubird, Vince, Marc by Marc Jacobs, J Brand, Current/Elliott, Rich & Skinny, UGG, Juicy Couture, and Splendid for 30 to 90 percent off! The sale is on now through May 28th. It's worth a look for those who are in a hunt for designer jeans or have shoe sizes 8 and up. I visited on the second day of the sale and really wanted to get these Marc by Marc Jacobs rain boots, that were only selling for $75, but they only had large sizes left. It was one of those moments I wished I had bigger feet.

In celebration to the launching of the short film "Anachronism" online, the screening was held last Saturday at the Chapels Arts in Vancouver. Winning 6 out of 11 nominated Leo Awards in 2009, this 14 minute drama was the first ever to be nominated for all categories in Leo Awards' history. Congratulations to my dear friend Jessica and producer of the film, who took the prestigious name of Best Short Drama home last year. The Anachronism, set in the late 19th century, unfolds an adventurous story of a paranormal encounter. I won't spoil the movie here but it does star a 10 foot tall robotic squid and adorable Ryan Grantham from the movie Jumper. When I helped out with the costumes for this movie, 12 year old Ryan told me that he has been writing scripts in hopes to direct them one day :) Watch the movie online here and stay tune to their website because the story is to be continued...
